Car Seats!

We have two Graco 4evers and tightening the seatbelts drive me nuts. Looking for another car seat for my 17 month old. Any suggestions? I would like for them to use it as they grow older as well. Also indecisive about whether it should be a highback booster or backless.. With older kiddos, is it better backless for when you do travel? (Easier to bring on the airplane, etc..) TIA.

I have the graco triride! It goes from infant all the way to booster seat. I love it. It’s not rated for airline travel though so we got a safety first seat from a friend to use on our recent flight bc our son outgrew his infant seat which was rated for airline use.

Honestly check out the Canadian Car Seat Safety group on Facebook. In this group you'll find car seat techs that are knowledgeable and super helpful. Car seats are both vehicle and child specific @Sarah the 4ever can absolutely be used on an airplane in harness mode but not booster mode. All harnessed seats in Canada can be used on airplanes. From a quick Google search the Graco TriRide is a US car seat. A car seat must be purchased in Canada and have the Transport Canada sticker to be able to be legally used in Canada

We have the Grace 4ever in my husbands car and I hate it! We ended up getting the Nuna Rava for my car and I love it! My second is about to be in the Rava and my oldest will go to the Nuna Aace!

A trick for the 4ever (rear facing) is to lower the chest clip all the way and pull the straps taut from the back of the seat where they thread through at the shoulder. Then pull the tightening tab at the feet to secure it. Once the shoulders pass the pinch test, move the chest clip up into place. I hope that makes sense. My guys are less than 5lbs away from switching to forward facing, so I’m not sure how I’m going to deal with the finicky straps when I turn them.

@Genevieve I've tried this and still find it's not tight enough. Thanks.
