Facing outwards is only recommended until 1 so that position is outgrown. A lot of carriers would offer parent facing and back carrying. What size trousers does baby wear?
@Natalie oh really i didnt know this!
I still use our og original ergo baby classic we swapped to back carrying in it tho! We don’t use it forward facing
A toddler onbbuhimo! You'll wear them on your back but they'll sit sp much higher than a regular non onbuhimo carrier. They'll still get a good seated position. To wear them facing outward in the front isn't recommended for more than like 20mins at a time because of the hip placement and the position their spine will be in. I used our happy baby onbuhimo every day from 6mths to even now. She's 98th percentile in height and still fits very well in there on my back.
Get a hip seat! He can pop on and off without having to mess with straps, and you can wear him forward or backwards facing and still have 1.5 hands to work with. And no leg marks, of course. 😀
@Alice what size trousers do they wear? Hard to recommend carriers without this info cos toddler carriers fit from certain sizes.
@Natalie ooh he is in 12-18 months
@Bonny i do love this idea but i have a four year old too so i feel like i need both hands free x
@Alice lenny lamb preschool adjusts small. Other options like a Tula toddler wouldn't fit until 2-3 trousers
Get a used one and try it. You'll love it. 😉
@Bonny can you recommend any brands?
I had a Tushbaby. After my kids were done with it, it was still in good condition, so I passed it on to another mom. (that I met on Peanut, actually 🙂)
On this topic has anyone got any notes on little life back carriers? Particularly the cross country one or the traveller? Thanks!
@Alice id hire options to try. The structured ones like that are generally more comfortable or better for male bodies. For women if they are shorter a lot struggle with them.
