Washing baby’s clothes

What are people using to wash baby’s clothes? I normally use gel, fabric softener and scent boosters and was planning on getting fairy non bio - should we stay away from fabric softener and scent boosters and only use gel/pods etc?

I use non bio anyway because my husband and I have really bad skin and struggle with eczema. I normally use the liquid but recently read that powder is advised. I don’t know why and I didn’t look into it, just bought some powder 😂 I’ve started using laundry disinfectant instead of fabric softener too

i’ll be using milton or fairy non bio those two brands have been recommended the most to me by other mums

Fabric softener should be okay, but I would avoid the boosters as scent is quite important for babies and you wont know if they have super sensitive skin until a bit later and itd be a shame if you then had to re-wash x

Non bio and unscented Ecover liquid gel,I work with kids as well and all the parents use this! Is gentle and safe but cleans properly.I’d avoid any softeners and boosters too, babies don’t need their clothes to smell nice and fabric softener ruins clothes, better to add a cup of white vinegar to the drum (doesn’t smell after wash) x

Switching to fairy non bio has already made such a difference to my own skin so have started washing baby’s clothes with this and will be continuing buying it, also smells AMAZING

Just get the non bio from your main supermarket. I use Aldi or Lidl. X
