I never used the specific baby setting with my first, and didn't see any problems. I bought some of the detergent for washing reusable nappies, as they usually want to be washed low, so chucked a bit of that in with the baby clothes at 30 degrees and did my normal wash. But might not actually need the reusable nappy stuff? I think I only really used it when he was really newborn, then I ran out and forgot to get some more and then just ran with the normal wash after that.
I’ve only ever washed my sons on the daily 59 min setting. I’d never be on top of washing if I used the actual baby setting 😂
I didn't do long settings, literally just an hour even less with non bio and had no issues
Standard cycle with non bio is perfectly fine x
I have used the baby setting on my machine purely because it exists to be honest but the temperature is 60 degrees which I fear will shrink some of the clothes so personally I’ve turned it down to 40 max as feel that’s hot enough. We plan to use reusable nappies so I’ve pre washed those on the hotter setting and will continue to do so after but that for me makes more sense due to the dirt level compared to clothes, that and the material of the nappies are ok to wash at a higher temp, most of the clothing we have has washing temp recommendations on the label and most say 30 is sufficient
I used the baby setting but only because i waited for 3 years to do it!! I think it’s just a gentler wash on the clothes 🤷🏻♀️ not really sure
I only ever washed my firsts on a standard wash 30/40 degrees and be doing the same for this one x
Recently got a new washing machine and the dials are killing me😩 I have to use delicates (35min) or every colour runs🤣 my old washing machine you could chuck anything in on any setting and it didn’t matter so I don’t think it would matter tbh xx
I’ve only ever used normal settings and my son is alive and well at 3 😂 will be doing this same this time too ☺️
