If it’s busy, they will take cabin approved ones off you and put it in the hold so there’s no guarantee with them. We usually just take a normal one and use it until we get to then plane. Then use a baby carrier the other end until we get it back
Thank you ladies. I have been told by quite a few people that they take cabin approved ones of you if the flight is busy!! Maybe it’s not worth paying out money for one then and I will just take my usual pram and a carrier for the little one!! 😂 xx
Haven't taken kids abroad before but we've booked for next year and planning to check in our normal pram with the luggage and use a carrier in the airport. Will have a 5yo, 3yo and 6mo
Sometimes you can get your buggy back at the aircraft when you land but it is airport and airline dependant, ask at the gate when you're departing and see what they say. I work at Heathrow and if the parents want it can be returned to them after landing. Cabin approved ones will probably be taken away on the likes of easyJet or Ryanair etc though we could keep ours with Jet2 BUT it was a bigger plane so that's probably why.
We use a cabin approved one, the first time we went away, LG was 1, we took the stroller right up to the stairs to the plane, but then they took it to put in the hold as it was a full flight. This time (we are away now), we didnt need to use it through the airport as LG is 3 next week and she either walked or sat on her little pull along case), so we checked the stroller in at oversized baggage. We wrapped it in big bubble bubble wrap before leaving home and put it in a bag
