I worked as a bar waitress so I could go in and close after my hubby was home, he got home 5-5:30 I started 6-6:30. One car, didn’t pay for childcare, worked for us for some time and the tips helped for all the clothing she grew out of quick 😭
My daughter is 16 months and I just accepted a job offer. I, selfishly, didn’t want to go back to work in the sense that I didn’t want someone else raising my daughter. We managed to survive thus far but just can’t anymore. Thankfully, I’ll be working at her daycare but still hard emotionally. So look around to see what will work for you and your family. Like someone said, if majority of your paycheck goes to childcare then it’s not worth it.
Find an at home job. Jump on indeed & search for something remote, you’d be surprised. I’m biased to aviation. I’d say start there.. get travel perks!
You’ll have to get a job on his days off then.
If what you make barely covers the cost of daycare it’s not worth it. You’ll always be able to make money but your babe will never been this small again. And you are contributing! In ways that a father never can for a young baby. What you’re currently doing for your family is immense!
