Ours got HFM from soft play last July, just one of those risks you take unfortunately, at least it’s (hopefully!) building their immune system x
Kids are walking germs 🤣🥲 no matter what time of the year or where you go. You will always have a risk of getting something
I would say low. You could try going on not so busy hours. Wash his hands after playing and before eating.
Hygiene wise keep washing hands and give them a bath after soft play there’s nothing you can really do to prevent illness in an environment like that unfortunately. The likely hood of getting sick depends on your little ones immunity. I take my 2y old soft play a lot and he’s only fallen Ill once thankfully! not exposing them to environments like this increases their chance of illness due to lack of exposure. Xx
Thank you everyone! My little boy gets really poorly when he catches something, like febrile seizures kind of sick. I’ve avoided soft play until now and hoping to introduce it to him now, I know certain things can’t be avoided. It’s just I’ve planned all sorts for him and would rather take him after we have our fun just in case, instead of missing out on the activities I’ve planned 😅
How is his immune system in general? I take my boy weekly. He doesn’t get sick. If he ever gets sick it’s more likely to be food poisoning/gastro from food, than any airborne illnesses. He’s around kids all day every day, library 3* a week and soft play once a week, he’s sick like once a year if that. So really depends on your kid.
