Thank you ever so much for your advice. I will definitely double check if it is covered first.
My private insurance doesn’t cover my baby until he is 1 year old and yes we have gone privately to see a paediatrician as he had a skin infection that wasn’t going away.
I’ve had BUPA since birth for both of mine. I pay for it via work and it covers pre existing. I saw an allergy specialist for my youngest via BUPA.
Thank you. It's my first time going private so it's all new to me.
I don’t recommend AXA. Any consultation they just say to go to urgent care centre
I have bupa at work but my babies don’t. My youngest did have a cows milk allergy at 7 months though.. he came up with hives around his mouth and face and a rash over his body. It happened a few times. He was sent for allergy testing on the nhs when he was about 9 months old.. he’d grown out of the cows milk allergy! Apparently it’s quite common.. they often grow out of them after 1 year. 🤞🏻 your baby does too. He had a skin test. With about 20 needle pricks on his arm to see what flared up and none did other than a little reaction for walnut.. so all good x
@Heather I'm happy to hear that your baby outgrew it. I've been so worried these last two months. Hoping my baby also outgrown it too!
I took out the Bupa private insurance from work for my kids - baby and toddler, but it comes with declared conditions so anything that’s been going on before the policy kicks in, won’t be covered, so we’ve gone private for a few things as insurance wouldn’t cover it. I’d strongly advise that you read the T&Cs carefully to see if it fits your family needs.
