How much are you spending?

How much have you spent / you going to be spending on your little one’s second birthday? Don’t know if I’ve gone overboard or not want to compare. We have 16 items, 2 relatively ‘big’ presents

I’ve currently only managed to buy 4 presents so far, in the process of ordering more. Think we’re spending like £100-£150 on presents and then taking her on day trips to places x

She’s getting one main present (a playhouse) and a few small bits from temu so around £150, then we’ll just be doing a little family party at home which shouldn’t cost much and possibly a farm visit so max £200?

We’re spending more on throwing her a party (I think she’ll enjoy that more) and we’re going to a local farm on the day, but we’ve not got many actual gifts for her to open, I tend to give her things immediately upon purchasing them 😅 She’s getting a piano, a slide and a bike for her birthday, but I’ll prob give her the bike right away. We got the bike and piano second hand (both like new) so saved quite a bit.

@Rhiannon id live to get her a slide but our garden isn’t big enough 🥲but sounds lovely

@Chai I’ve been buying since November 😅

@Poppie omg🤣 I only started 2 weeks ago

@Chai I couldn’t gotta get some deals where you can. Got her a water&sand table for £10 in November it’s back to £45 now 😅

@Poppie oh wow what a bargain!! We got a sand pit with a chalk board, kitchen and water tray from Lidl the other day for £30! X

@Chai that’s good on itself! My garden isn’t big enough for a proper sandpit though

@Poppie I haven’t got a massive garden either it’s very small but it’s not a massive sandpit it’s quite compact xx

We got a tonie box deal for £97, a secondhand guitar for £5, an extra tonie off vinted for £8 and a lion king book with figures that was £10 but I had an Amazon voucher so it was free. Not getting her anything else present wise, she’ll get a lot from family. Day out at the space centre for her actual birthday, and maybe a picnic in the park/pub garden with family to attend as well,.

I’ll be surprised if I spend more than £100 (£50 on gifts + £50 on food/prep for small family gathering).

Probably about £150 x

We are doing similar to Rhiannon and spending money on a party as we have so many family and friends and our LB will get more than enough gifts from them. I have got him a few second hand diggers on FB Marketplace (£10) and if no one else gets him the scooter (£15 in Argos) on his wishlist we will get him that as well. So gifts potentially £25 and probably £100 on party

£120 spent on pressies then a trip to Peppa Pig world
