husband wants to visit the uk

me and my husband are long distance i visit him every half term and he wants to visit the uk but he isn’t a british citizen. we want to apply for a visitor visa but im afraid he will get refused that they might think he wants to come to the Uk and never leave. what should i do for him to be guaranteed an approved visa? should he apply for tourism and not mention he has a wife in the uk or what . any ideas? he wants to come for 2 weeks during the summer as we always go visit him and he has never come and his holiday is during school time so i cant leave

He'd likely need a flight back already booked and I don't see why a normal tourism visa wouldn't work. He's only visiting!

A tourist visa would be no issue at all. My family come over on tourist visas to see their kids, their loved ones and no one gets denied. It’s just a holiday to visit family, he might get asked what the purpose of his visit is on landing but the answer is visiting family. Totally normal.

Does he just not book a holiday like everyone else? And sort out the admin/visa for the period of time he is staying?

Which country is your husband currently?

@Kayina he’s applying from ivory coast. he did previously get denied hopefully this time round it works
