My 16 month old has CMPA, diagnosed at around 10 weeks old and is still on prescribed formula now. He had an eczema like rash all over face and body that would get worse immediately after or during a feed, arching back constantly, never content or relaxed, projectile vomiting after every feed, mucus in nappies and very explosive nappies! He did have quite a severe case though and I know in some babies the symptoms can be more subtle. He also had really bad reflux so they can go hand in hand x
My boy is 5 weeks and for the past 4 weeks I thought he was having all the symptoms of milk allergy. My health visitor said to push drs for a test. They didn't want to and said it was reflux (even though he is on anti reflux formula too!) and they have prescribed him gaviscon infant, first day and he's gone back to himself, he's alot more settled!
My 2 year old and 5 week old have milk allergies. They had basically the same symptoms the main one being projectile vomiting everything they have. Other symptoms with constipation then explosive mucus diahorria with solid pieces in and that was like a cycle every couple of days, rashes, being really unsettled all day, discomfort while feeding and after feeding pulling their legs up to their tummies because they’re in pain. Took me 8 weeks to get formula from the drs for my 2 year old and my little girl has been on it since she was 2 weeks! But that’s because the GP knows her brother has a milk allergy. When your little girl poos after a couple of days is it solid or soft? If it’s soft it’s not classed as constipation but the drs might be able to give you lactoluse for her
Our little boy just got diagnosed with suspected CMPA/lactose intolerance. His main symptoms were acne, a rash across his back, arching his back in pain especially after a feed and inconsolable. He struggled to bring up wind but the change in milk has made him better. We got him diagnosed at 5 weeks. I took recordings of him feeding and his screaming to the GP with me and photos of him before/after a bottle because he would turn bright red. It made it easier as I then didn’t have to fight with the GP for a diagnosis. They initially wanted to label it as purple crying and send us home. Stick to your guns, you know baby best! Good luck 🩵
