Poo!
My little girl is 5 weeks and EBF. He only seems to poo every 2-3 days. He is farting lots, has lots of really wet nappies and is gaining weight. The midwife and doctor do not seem to be worried but when I look online it says BF babies should go every day. Anyone else’s baby have this problem? x

"It's completely normal for breastfed babies, especially those as young as 5 weeks, to have varying bowel movement patterns. While many breastfed infants do poop daily, it's also common for some to go every few days, especially if they are gaining weight, have plenty of wet diapers, and are otherwise healthy. The fact that your little girl is farting a lot and has wet diapers indicates that she is likely getting enough milk. If your healthcare providers are not concerned, it's a good sign, but if you’re feeling anxious, you might consider keeping a diary of her feeding and diaper patterns to share with them during your next visit. How are you feeling about her feeding and diaper changes overall?
