Dairy free one so good luck! X
Honestly I’d take baby to hospital.. doctors can be really rubbish but if you go to children’s A&E then I’d be really surprised if you don’t come away with a prescription or at minimum a (hopefully better!) medical opinion!
@Rachel we’ve been back and forth to the GPs and hospitals, they just all say eczema. Everytime we go to the GP they refer us to the Peads who won’t give her the formula. Even just to see as a process of elimination 🤦🏼♀️ we keep fighting her case for them to look into it and nothing!! She has mucus in her poo constantly!! My heart breaks for her, this is why we’re thinking of buying it ourselves to try it out. They’re prescribing steroid cream for her and I’m not comfortable putting this on a 3.5 month old baby!
Ah man that’s really tough! In that case I’d suggest putting in a formal complaint with your doctor, it can sometimes help force them to sort it out. Sending lots of love ❤️
@Rachel I was literally about to do this, as the lack of support and absolute disrespect we’ve experienced is crazy! Just want our little girl to be comfortable bless her! 🥺
I agree with Rachel, i would head up to a&e, they will definitely take it seriously. Severe Cmpa can cause allergic colitis and feeding aversions. I really hope you get some support because it is so hard seeing your baby in pain and uncomfortable 😢but yeah I would go to a&e and explain how you feel and say you won’t leave until you try amino acid formula 💓
Oh no I hope you're ok! All of that combined definitely sounds like cmpa to me. I was fobbed off constantly by doctors until my little boy was 10m old. Fight for the formula on prescription if anyone is willing to do so - it reached a point i was at the doctors daily and threatening to complain 😖 hopefully they'll prescribe neocate or nutramigen. Depending on the strength of the allergy I think EHF may still cause mild reactions which can leave you doubting if it really is that! We actually swapped to oatly barista oat milk at 10 months and it made a world of difference - different baby within a few days! But of course that's because he was close to coming off formula anyway and weaning/had a varied diet. I hope you get the answers and support you need from the docs soon! You know your baby best and as our health visitor put it, in the simplest terms, all baby is having is formula. So if they're unsettled, having reactions and rashes, it's got to be that. It's 100% worth it for doctors to prescribe the
