Umbilical cord
Our little boy’s umbilical cord fell off about a week ago. Midwives said it was a ‘chunky one’ so took a bit longer to come off. This is what it looks like. Does this look right/normal?

Possibly a small umbilical hernia?? Which will lead to your baby having an “outie” Belly button but isn’t usually a problem

Hey so I have the same problem with my babygirl at the moment she’ll be a month old this Thursday coming.. hers fell of when she was just a week old and currently looks like this now inside its still abit raw so the doctors have told me to leave it completly dry and not give her a bath which I’ve only been wiping her down since she’s been born.. but my daughters looks like this.. just a thought to share.. doctor said it has another 5-7 days of healing potentially
