If your first had a name ending in ‘ie’ would you choose another name ending ‘ie’ for your second baby? (same with any ending - y, ey, a…)

No. I always imagine shouting upstairs to teenagers with music/TV on and how it sounds. My brother is called Peter and honestly the er and a end of my name sounded the same. They only hear the last syllable, so you'll always get the wrong child answering

Yes, I would personally choose another ending always. But nicknames with the same endings are cute!

not intentionally but it also wouldn't stop from using a name with the same ending - if that makes sense. if my favourite name ended in the same sound/letter as the name of my first child, I would use it - but not because I wanted to continue the pattern just because it was my favourite name. but if the name I liked best didn't have the same ending, I wouldn't choose a different name to match the first. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I like to have similarities between names. I chose to do biblical names and with J middle names. Ezekiel James (EJ) and Jeremiah Jacob (JJ) I think it’s cute for siblings

I have an Ivy & a Poppy.🩷

Both mine end in ‘en’ unintentionally

Mine both end in ‘ya’ don’t know if that contributes more to me saying their names wrong or them mishearing me
