Gestational Diabetes

So I’ve been diagnosed with GD at 36 weeks 2 days. Baby is due on the 18th May. His tummy was measuring abit chubby - I thought this was cute so they asked me to do the sugar testing last week. I had a growth scan last week and his tummy had dropped slightly. With it being so late in the pregnancy ; next Tuesday I have to go back to go through the dietary stuff but then il be 37 weeks 2 days. They said they won’t allow him to go over his due date. My midwife yesterday wants me to have another growth scan as she said my pump is measuring smaller but at the growth scan his is apparently weight 5lb10 which doesn’t seem big or small! It’s so confusing. Anyone else going through similar?

I’ve just been diagnosed I’m 37 weeks Baby’s stomach is measuring 5 weeks ahead My baby is expected to be 8.11lbs c section birth 39 weeks Don’t go off scans they are usually wrong and are only estimates xx

I have polyhydramnious and a big baby, I’ve passed the GTT twice so now having to do daily blood sugars but haven’t actually been diagnosed with GD. Honestly I’m so lost with what’s happening. They estimated last week my baby was already 6lb 2oz and I’m 35+5 today. They have mentioned they may not want me to go beyond 38 weeks. But the whole thing is just baffling I swear!

@Jordon omg this is exactly like me !! I have this too and doing daily checks xx

@Emily Thompson it’s crazy isn’t it! I just feel so lost not knowing what’s going to happen x

At my 34 weeks and 2 days growth scan my baby measured 7lb 7oz, we’re over 99th percentile and way over the top line. Your baby seems a nice average weight tbh, maybe just had a slightly bigger tummy compared to the rest of their body? My first baby had a big tummy, big head and shoulders came out 9lb 9oz. (No GD, was tested twice) This baby is expected 10lb 3oz currently (got a scan in the morning) and again, No GD, tested twice!! Accept the scan, but don’t let them stress you out!
