Yeah you’re reading it right. According to that you have a big baby. Have you been offered extra scans to check?
@Imogen @Isobel thank you ! 🙏🏻 No I have not been offered any scans and midwife didn’t seem concerned …
That seems a bit odd, text or call her saying you’re concerned and want to be referred for a growth scan or wait until your next appointment with her to see what your measurements are then and bring it up
Baby’s measuring above but do you have an anterior placenta by any chance because that could contribute to the growth measurements they can be very wrong if the placenta is at the front rather then the back x
It’s nothing to worry about as long as baby keeps charting following that line which baby seems to be doing. Extra scans would usually be offered only if you’re high risk Don’t forget that these scans are not completely accurate and most babies come out smaller than estimated especially if theirs a height factor in their genes xx
Mine growth chart looks exactly like this too. Measurements should be taken with a pinch of salt got accuracy xx
@jasmin I had an anterior placenta during my first pregnancy, but when my bump measured above the 97th percentile, the growth scan confirmed that the baby was indeed measuring above the 97th centile so it can actually be quite accurate as well. It was at my 37 week appointment though. My midwife didn’t take it seriously either and just kept saying it was all normal so I called the hospital directly and requested a growths scan.
It looks that way. Your last appointment was at just over 31 weeks gestation and you were measuring 35cm fundal height, is what that says to me. Were you offered a growth scan?
