False positive for opiates
I gave birth to my daughter about 2 weeks ago and at the hospital shortly after I had given birth they informed me that I had tested positive for opiates so I've been eating ALOTE OF STUFF WITH POPPY SEEDS on my baegals put it on my food and they watched her for withdrawal and nothing so they sent me home with her and said they will have the results sent to her pediatrician now the pediatrician called me today saying I tested positive for codeine and they have to call the state I'm so mortified there ganna try to take my baby from me any advice ...I'm so mortified and terrified I'm 20 years old and I think this experience I don't think I'm going to have any more children

Curious, I was prescribed codeine after giving birth (and of course had en epidural so all the drugs with that)! Did you get painkillers after birth!?
@Marta yes I did get given tylenol,ibuprofen and oxicodone but I haven't taken it due to testing positive for opiates

Be extremely vocal and demand they inspect you for track marks, retest or do a hair follicle test, that evidence with the lack of withdrawal symptoms should be enough for any medical review officer to rethink. Maybe it’s past that point idk but I’d tell CPS or DCFS whatever it’s called the same thing because it’s definitely possible to test positive for poppy seeds
