Battle for teen boy to wash

Anyone else have issues getting their teen boy to wash themselves. It’s a battle for us to get our 13 yr old to have a bath and even then we have to keep telling him to actually wash himself. He will go as long as he can without washing his hair (he puts products in it that seem to be damaging his hair) I am worried about his lack of hygiene and self care. He has ADHD but it isn’t a sensory issue of his. Anyone have advice to help me help him?

Our 15 year old asd son is a nightmare. I have to run the bath, give him lots of warnings and timers. I’m not bothered about him washing his hair as it’s short anyway,

@Karen does he say why it is?

One of the reasons it wastes his time. All he’s doing is gaming. I don’t think he likes being cold when he gets out. Plus it’s also a demand. My sons sen school made him put plastic gloves on during Covid as he refused to wash his hands so who knows.
