Double pram or not?

For those who have had a 2 year age gap or due to have a 2 year age gap would you recommend a double pram? I’m so torn on what to do, I feel like it will only be used if I’m on my own and if that’s the case I can just use my sling or carrier? 😬 any advice would be amazing! 😁

Mine second isnt here yet, but we’re not going to bother with the double pram purely because it’s already a night mare even getting my 22 month old even in the pram. We have a good sturdy pram already, but will use that one and get a board for them to stand on.

I have bought a double buggy and a bassinet that clicks in for when the baby is smaller

I found the double really useful with a 2½ yr gap. I did use a carrier for baby too but it's nice to be able to put baby down, e.g. whilst you're eating or going to the toilet, or changing toddler's nappy or whatever, and honestly it's just easier to look after a toddler without a baby strapped on your front. We did also use a buggy board at times as well, but having the seat that toddler could be strapped into so he couldn't wander off or run away was definitely useful, as well as somewhere for him to nap occasionally (although he wasn't having regular naps by that point)

I have the icandy peach 7 and will be buying the 2nd frame to make it a double, my toddler just runs off so there’s no way I could cope with that and a newborn in a pram 😅

Thank you all, lots of good points! I definitely think I will start looking at getting one 👍🏼

I’m due a 2yr age gap. And my mum friend has just had her second with a 21m gap. She got and I am considering a buggy board with a seat (you can get ones that they strap into as well) we have a pram and a stroller so it’s only really if I’m on my own with them both and baby can’t be in the carrier. If I felt I needed something when baby was here then I would look to get a double secondhand. My girl doesn’t nap in the pram anymore (or sometimes at all)

I personally have got a second hand double. With my first I didn't think would use a pram and would baby carry and everyone convinced me at time would be useful to have both glad they did as used single pram way more than I thought we would and at first little one didn't fit min weight for carrier so would have been stuck in house without it, can't risk that with toddler who loves being outside so got second hand mountain buggy duet which heard good things about and seem to resale well
