We tried out the big girl seat today, but I couldn't cope and changed it back 😆.
Ours absolutely hated the bassinet from word go (wish I’d known before I spent a fortune on it 🙃) so we made the switch really early, around the 2 month mark and made sure it was still reclined and she was facing me. She’s a tall girl as well (now 17lbs and 97th centile for height) but still looked tiny to begin with and was a bit unsure herself. She is used to it now and does much better than in the bassinet.
We just made the switch for our LO and she much prefers the pram now! She’s so aware most of the time now so she is able to look around more which she loves x
Thanks ladies. I think I’m going to make the switch today and I’m not okay! Aha another milestone im not ready for 😂🥹 x
We made the switch with our Ocarro ages ago because the seat is suitable from birth and she hated the bassinet! We lie it flat if she falls asleep but mostly have it on the one up from flat so she’s on a slight recline and can see out! I think it’s so much comfier for them - our little one never used to be able to be pushed to sleep in the bassinet but she’ll go off in the seat!
I tried him out in it yesterday! He loved it! Lots of looking around! He’s 4.5months and I was wondering if it would be bad to use this for him all the time or should I get a cushion insert to fill it out? I’ve always used the car seat as can lie it flat but it’s Heavy so can’t wait to switch fully!
@Emily I've just ordered the Hauck universal liner for ours. It's quite cushioned, but the fabric is mesh. Probably awkward to wipe sick off 😆
We changed when he was early into 3 months might even have been earlier also super long and he just hated it. Was so much happier being in a pushchair where he could be as nosy as he wanted but only propped up a little so still suitable. I still put the seat completely flat if he goes to sleep
