Need advice please!

I understand you are worrying my lovely. But if it gave you peace of mind have you thought of having a reassurance scan privately while you wait for your 12 week appointment with the hospital? The line might not be as dark depending on what time of the day you take it as your urine wouldn’t be as concentrated x

@Victoria that’s yeah I took it at about 7pm so I’m hoping your right! Yeah I want to get a private scan but hubby doesn’t get paid till the 30th so have to wait until then unfortunately and it’s driving me mad 😒 xx

I've heard there's something called the hook effect where once you produce too much HCG the rest can't handle it and it won't show a dark line anymore, like above id consider a scan for peace of mind as sadly now I don't think the tests will 💗 x

Yeah there’s something called the hook effect and as well once you hit ten weeks I think your hcg starts to plateau anyway so it could make the test faint that’s when your symptoms sort of subside etc I’ve not done a test since I was 7/8 weeks pregnant and they were still dark but I think now they’d be faint - deffo get a scan for peace of mind but I really don’t think the tests will help because it is possible for them to come up faint now x

Sometimes when your hcg is so high it can not come up very strong on pregnancy tests, I have extremely high hcg and this happened to me but almost so you couldn’t see it! If you’re really worried and it would help, a private scan can reassure you. I’m sending you lots of healing thoughts and hope everything works out xxx

Thank you everyone that’s made me feel a little better, I also did another test this morning and it was a little darker, but I’m still worried as I think most my symptoms have gone, I’m waiting for hubbys pay day to book a private scan but feels like forever

Honestly it’s normal for your symptoms to fluctuate. This is my second pregnancy and I’ve been worrying as I haven’t really had any symptoms. I had to go to the early pregnancy clinic twice as the first time round I was too early and the 2nd time they detected a heart beat and fetal pole. I am now 8 weeks today: but I was worrying like crazy. Try distract yourself lovely. I am only a message away if you wanna chat x

If you’ve had multiple miscarriages your early pregnancy unit should be able to get you in for a scan(free)

Probably hook effect which happens round 10 weeks. You could dilute some of your urine with water 50/50 and do the test again. If the line is darker when diluted then it's the hook effect x

Have you expressed your worries to them? When I phoned mine up with my worries they got me in that day, I only had one miscarriage before
