High blood pressure

My friends daughter had it with both pregnancies and you need to be in touch with the doctor -both times she had to go on medication for a period of time after each birth, but you really should call your doctor and get medical advice.

How much is it? And you taking medicine? Did you take asprin to avoid preeclampsia?

Mine came on a bit later than this but I had to take medication once it was picked up and then for a short while afterwards

@Kirsty did the medication harm or affect the pregnancy in any way ?

@Kanika no I don’t take meds . I think it was 143 over 30 that’s the lowest it’s been . Yes I take aspirin

Mines been high up until now I’m currently 20 weeks. I’ve also took aspirin since 12 weeks so I’m super confused to why it was high now it’s fine. I also had protein in my urine also.

I had high blood pressure and pre eclampsia with my first and was medicated, ended up with chronic high blood pressure so have remained medicated throughout my 2nd pregnancy as well!

its pregnancy induced high blood pressure also a sign of preeclampsia. doesn’t always mean it is it could be hypertension sometimes. i had preeclampsia and pregnancy induced high blood pressure

@Jo no not at all. It just meant that I was then classed as high risk and induced shortly after my due date. I've just had my second baby and they have monitored closely from the beginning with extra scans and checks but I didn't develop the high blood pressure this time
