I think they're fine as long as you keep up with your wash routine. My favourite brand that I've tried so far is Kawaii Baby. I started to save money. We cloth diaper at home, disposable at night and when we go out. Fluff love university is a great resource. You could also consider a cloth diaper service. Depends on the brand of diaper you're using, but diaper service was still a cheaper option than disposables for us, but I decided to buy our own.

It doesn’t have to be an all or nothing thing. We do the same, cloth at home and disposables overnight and out of the house. I used cloth a lot more with my first baby but I’ve only recently started using them again with my second, as she had bad reflux for the first 8 months or so and I couldn’t deal with all the extra laundry. There are some great cloth nappy groups on FB.

pros are less money spent on disposables and less waste. the only bad part is washing but it’s just like any other laundry

I love mine. We get far less nappy rash, almost no explosions and we’re still using nappies on our twins that we used with our first If you aren’t sure and are uk based there’s nappy libraries all over the country you can hire some to try before you buy

Omg YES. 1000% yes. So worth it! I love them! We used them exclusively for 2.5yrs until he trained. I use Mama Koala mainly but I have other brands. I love the unique prints MK has. NO blowouts in cloth, it just doesn’t happen. Those blowouts pics you see all over the net and SM are from disposable nappies never in cloth. I bought once and it was stress free for the remainder of his nappy journey, I fell in love I got a bit addicted and obsessed there for awhile lol. Doing the monthly challenges and got myself into mod for some of the big FB cloth groups but I demoted myself after he trained

Only regret is not using them with my first! Once you get your routine and the right equipment it’s honestly not bad at all.
