I'm going for a private scan today at 32+6 purely because I haven't seen baby since the NHS 20 week scan. I've no idea how well she's growing as I've only had my bump measured once at 28 weeks and not due with midwife until 34 weeks. I can let you know how well they can see baby so you could decide if you think it's worth it??

I had a lot of extra scans with my first and remember them all being good in terms of seeing the baby. The last one they spent a lot of time measuring the head because it was too low, and I got a little worried, but it was just the baby’s position. Going in for a scan today (35 weeks) as part of a research trial, so will let you know how it is.
I am 35 weeks on Friday and I just booked a private scan in, my last NHS scan was 20 weeks and last private scan was 27 weeks. I’m not sure if it’s pointless too but I was too curious on his size etc!

Depending on the scan place they may not be able to tell you the estimated weight. The one I went to for my 4D one wasn’t allowed x

Had the scan today (35 weeks) honestly couldn’t make out much except the shape of the skull, tummy etc. they could get all the growth measurements but it wasn’t like the early scans where you could make out a baby or a face. Head was very low down, which didn’t help.
Sorry my private scan didn't happen as the machine was broken - rebooked for 3pm today but have seen the midwife this morning and I've been referred for a NHS scan because my bump is measuring small

I had a growth scan yesterday at the same gestation and got to see everything - just not all in one picture. But they did measurements and told me positioning etc
