Morning girls ☀️

Im 33 weeks and have been having regular growth scans every two weeks and scans every week to check the placenta and blood flow to baby, They have said my baby weighed 3lb 4oz at 32 weeks and is below the 3rd percentile, I’m being induced no later than 37 weeks but they’ve said baby could come before if necessary. I just wanted to ask if anyone has been in a similar situation and what their baby’s weighed at birth? I keep worrying she will be super small and have to be in an incubator 😓. They did say my last baby was also a ‘small baby’ and induced me at 37 weeks she came out 5lb 11oz and was completely fine and didn’t need to stay in hospital but I never had to have all these extra scans and be monitored the way I have been this pregnancy x

I'm in the same boat just now also because my last was under 5lbs but honestly I've just hit 37+2 and my consultant is great your appointments will probably change to every week after 36 and you might be booked in for a sweep on your 37th if they see it as a nessasary thing. Your best bet is to ask your consultant and discuss options. I'm due my sweep on Tuesday and if nessasary a csection might be needed but it's a last resort.

Same for me too, have had scans weekly because baby is <1% centile - I’ve heard that they get it wrong all the time but they would rather be cautious. I didn’t want an induction so I’m booked in for my section at 37 weeks which wouldn’t have been my first choice. You can definitely say no if you want to wait too and definitely discuss your options with your consultant. Good luck with it all 💖

Hello, I was in the exact same position. Baby was always below 10th percentile, dropped off the growth chart by 35 weeks, referred to fetal medicine who estimated weight at 4lb 5oz. They spotted absent blood flow and recommended I have the baby at 36 weeks by c section, baby weighed 3lb 12oz and went to NICU. Baby does also have a heart issue that was picked up super late so we are still on the NICU 3 weeks later but the norm is for preterm babies to stay in until 37 weeks or until they are feeding well and gaining weight. Ask for a tour of your NICU, it's not as scary as it sounds I promise. If you are being induced you will have time to kill at the hospital. My situation was a bit of a worst case scenario but happy to answer any questions. My baby is doing really well now we are just waiting for his heart surgery but he is too small for it currently otherwise we would be home by now.
