A question for boy mums.

I noticed a few weeks ago that my son (now almost 8 weeks) had one testicle bigger than the other but I thought this was normal. Today I changed him and noticed it’s now much bigger than the other and wasn’t like that yesterday. I would say double the size from the other one. Is that normal or do I need to go get it checked? Obviously it’s a Sunday then a bank holiday tomorrow so he couldn’t go to the doctors until Tuesday.

I haven’t heard of this or experienced this. If this were my son I’d 100% go get it checked out xx

@Sera Kay ✨ Do you think it’s urgent for today? I have no idea what it could be

You can always ring 111 - they’ll tell you if it’s today urgent or if it can wait x

@Rebecca Thanks I will do that now!

My sons was like this when he was born, your HV/midwives should check his testicles it may be that the one just hasn’t dropped yet- there is a time limit on this but I can’t remember what that is sorry, I would ring 111 as I’d recommend getting it checked - obvs they can say if it’s urgent or can wait till Tuesday x

@Jess I’m just on hold with them now so I’ll see what they say. I actually have an appointment with my HV at the doctors surgery on Tuesday as he is due his vaccines so if they say it can wait then I’ll get them to check it then ☺️

Definitely call 111 for some advise, my little nephew had this happen and it turned out to be a twisted testicale so he needed to be seen. It’s hard to tell if they’re in any discomfort when they’re this little. Bless him! Hopefully you have some answers soon xx
