Gender scan

Are gender scans at 15 weeks accurate with window to the womb? Will be 15 weeks and 3 days. Thanks!

We had ours a few weeks back at 15+2, they said they have to see the genitals from 3 different angles before confirming gender. We're pretty confident in what we were told but will confirm with the NHS at our 20 week scan in just over a week

@Charlie did they find it quite easy to find the different angles? Xx

I’m 15 weeks and had a private gender scan at 14 weeks and it was very clear I was having a boy! had one with my 1st also and they were right with his gender x

@Autumn that’s great to hear! X

They should be yes! If baby plays ball ahah.

@Aimie yep as far as I know. We chose to have the gender written down so we could read it in private. But wasn't a very long time for them to have a look!

I think they normally recommend you wait until your 16 weeks + at least that’s what it’s been at the couple of private places I’ve been too. I’d check with them before you go that they are happy to do it when you are still quite early ☺️

@Tash generally WTTW do gender scans from 15 weeks 😊

@Emy wow! No mistaking that 😂. I’m wondering if they’re just as accurate for girls!

@Aimie someone on the September group had one at 14.5 weeks and they said boy, but it was very small! And now shes found out it’s a girl!! So I’d only believe it if it’s undeniable 🤣

@Aimie so I think around 14-16 weeks if it’s not clearly obvious I would think girl!

@Emy oh dear! See that’s what I’m stressed about 🤣. The main reason I want the scan is for well-being checks but now I’ve found out I can find out the gender I’m set on it haha x

I had a gender scan yesterday and I was 16 weeks and 5 days and they were 100% accurate all mine have been accurate too from previous pregnancy’s
