How soon after period? Should you start trying?

They will say different days because everyone is different and the apps and websites are guessing based off of the "usual" or "normal" cycles others had That is the point of the LH tests, they were super helpful for me, Premom was my favorite app to read the lined LH tests, apps usually get better at being accurate the more you put it when exactly you ovulated/had a period I used LH tests from the day after my period ended, once in the morning and once before bed, to the day after my "peak" goes down

That makes sense @Nevaeh. Were you able to conceive using the premom app and LH tests? Does it make a difference that I mainly only use one LH tests a day? Should I bump it to using two a day?

Yes I was able to. Some do it once, some do it twice and some people probably do it more. I see some say afternoon is best but I also see some saying morning and night is best It's best for it to be around the same time everyday tho

You don’t NEED the test strips. If you can have sex every 4 or more days then you’d cover all your basis. But lh strips would be great. I like easy at home or pre mom. I’ve used both and got pregnant using both. I like the premom app so I can log everything.

I’d do twice a day one around 10am and the other around 6pm. Some peoples surges are very short so you want to have an every 12 ish hour window covered. So right after your period ends I’d start testing twice a day. And then also having sex as much as possible. Sperm is good for 5 days so as long as you’re having sex every 4 or more days you’ll be good. And it sup to your body on whether or not it’s ready to be pregnant

@Gabrielle so I've heard other women say every other day to baby dance. But you mean like do it one day and then wait four days and do it again? Just confused on what you meant by that. An example would be nice 😂 I'm just trying to make sure I understand! And yeah the last part is a understatement. I can get pregnant but I have really bad habits. Like smoking nicotine and drinking during the TWW and stuff. So I'm trying to cut those out and see if it makes a difference.

@Nevaeh how often did you do it in your fertile window? I've heard girls say they do it a day before or a couple days before fertile window. Whereas some wait till the actual fertile window. Or some even do it a day after ovulation occurred. My bad for all the questions! Just really wanting my rainbow baby 🌈🍼

You're good I'm happy to help. I used the predicted fertile window on Premom, we sometimes did it every other day but sometimes we did it every 3 or 4 days and then when I got my high and peak, which would be the day before ovulation, we did it again Sperm stays alive for up to 5 days so if you miss a couple days in the fertile window there's still a chance The cycle I got pregnant we had only had sex the day I got my peak

Based on the app, you could do the 13th or 14th, 16th and the 17th. You could also do it every other day or everyday I was told this so I like to tell other people this but try not to make sex feel like a chore while ttc Oh and not everyone knows but some lube and, if what I saw was correct, saliva can actually kill sperm so be careful of that too

@Nevaeh I definitely agree. I feel like it's a mental block when the only goal is to just strictly make a baby. Like I wanna have fun as well. For sure! And I've also heard that too! About the saliva part. Very interesting.

Yes, you just wanna be sure to also think of the relationship. Keeping things fun can help, different positions, foreplay, trying new things and stuff like that
