It shouldn't be a long appointment they can scan you pretty quick as baby is bigger and less wiggly. Then they completer your notes and hand them back unless you need to see a consultant cos at my hospital waiting for a consultant tales forever
It shouldn’t be too long but baby can still be quite awkward even tho they’re bigger - mine took about 25 mins but the sonographer told me her weight etc, I didn’t have to go anywhere else x
The scan is quick but I’ve found the waiting around for the consultant after takes ages and I’ve always been there a couple of hours by the end of it!
Mine was really quick!! No more than 10-15 mins in scan room and they saw us very efficiently as it was in the evening like yours. I didn’t have to wait for a consultant or anything after, the sonographer gave us the sizing & weight herself so we were free to go after xx
Scan itself less then 20 mins as they are only measuring the head, stomach and femur, (possibly look at the placenta) so depends on how well baby is cooperating ☺️ otherwise it’s just the wait before so I would say an hour in there total tops if your hospital is like ours 🤣
My growth scans and consultant appointments have been quick, roughly 20 mins…. Just depends if they are running on time. I tend to find the later in the day, the more late they are 🙄
The scan itself won't take long but if aby issues brought up such as measuring small will be made to speak to doctor/midwife /consultant depending on who is available about results
Well the scan took 15 minutes - it then took over an hour and a half for the midwife to plot my measurements... 😲
Growth scans are really quick - take about 10-15 mins as they are literally just checking measurements and not checking all organs etc like at the 20 weeks scan
