Heartbeat gender guesses

Has anyone found out their gender yet? Just heard the heartbeat for the first time and I’m even more convinced it’s a boy now, which was my gut feeling. It sounded like a train and was 138. The old wives tale is if it sounds like a train and under 140 then it’s a boy or if it sounds like a horse and over 140 it’s a girl. I’ve heard my friends’ recordings and they really did sound different for their boy and girl. Still have 3 weeks to go until we can find out at our 20 week scan. Anyone found this theory to be true? Or false?

No idea about the theory but on our last scan heartbeat was 155 and it’s a girl! 💓

My heartbeat was 148 and it's a boy!! So im not sure how much the heart beat plays into it!

Doctor here 🙋🏽‍♀️ I’ve found heart beat theory doesn’t really apply much, but if you wanted to know earlier then a harmony/NIPT test can be requested which looks at babies DNA (also looks at risk of trisomy syndromes in a fraction). We did it and it’s confirmed we are having a boy!

I took a gender blood test and found out at 11 weeks 🤭 Our 16 week scan confirmed it, and the sonographer said the blood test is much more accurate anyway.

My babies heart rate was lower and we’re having a girl so not sure how reliable the theory is but go with what you think…i was convinced we were having a boy until we found out it was a girl haha

I found out on the 4th that I’m having a boy , I normally go off the scans I’ve been able to get 12 genders right so far
