Am I over thinking?

Had my 20wk scan yesterday. The nurse asked if we wanted to know the gender and we said no. So when she got down that end she asked us to close our eyes. However at the end of the scan she said didn’t see the gender while measuring the legs. Am I over thinking and thinking that it’s a girl if she didn’t see anything? I am very good at over thinking things!

So she would have to see either gender while measuring by legs by the bottom xx

Don’t over think! Little baba could have been crossing its legs, little acrobatics with its legs and playing hide and seek. My little boy that I’m due had hid himself really well considering all I ever heard was “boys don’t hide!”😂🫶🏻 went for a private gender scan, and I was like HOW DID YOU HIDE THAT😭😂

@Emma do you think she’s indirectly told us it’s a girl? X

I think she told you to close your eyes in case she’s on that area and it’s obvious what gender it is. Can be either boy or a girl, in some cases it’s super clear. With my toddler when they scanned that area there was no hiding it was a boy so if we hadn’t wanted to find out the gender and the sonographer had gone over that area while we’re looking, it would have been clear as day. Don’t over think, she either actually couldn’t see it or just told you that cause you said you don’t want to know x

@Maisie noo I think she would have made the same comment regardless or the sex. Don’t worry your fine xx

I’m a sonographer and I do 20 week scans. Not seeing the gender doesn’t mean it’s a girl - don’t overthink it ☺️

With my boy you sometimes can’t tell, at the 24 week scan his legs were close together and so wasn’t obvious. But I know from earlier scans it’s 💯 a boy

My friend had a little boy, but she was told they couldn’t see the gender because of baby’s position and them having their legs crossed so tightly!
