I had a very similar experience at an earlier gestation. I had a scan and confirmed baby was there with a heartbeat, I then had some more bleeding which involved clots etc. Went back for another scan baby doubled in size and heartbeat was flickering away. The sonographer could see a pool of blood out with the pregnancy sack which they said could be left over from implantation and because the pregnancy was viable I was prescribed progesterone which I had to take twice a day until 16 weeks. As soon as I started to take the progesterone I had no more bleeding and I am convinced this is what saved my pregnancy. I am almost 27 weeks with a happy baby girl all safe in my tummy 🩷 Hope everything works out for you 🫶🏽
I had heavy bleeding (2 episodes) once around 14 weeks? Another before 25 weeks (can't remember when) they said it was an unexplained threatened miscarriage and my boy was born full term and healthy. He is now 19 months and doing very well. 🌟 Later on, I had a few episodes of lighter bleeding after sex. Sorry if tmi! Now 35 weeks with my 2nd and have had zero bleeding, so no idea what it was. I hope you're okay, I found it really upsetting/stressful!
@Charlotte hi thank you for sharing and congratulations on baby girl !!! I’m almost 13 weeks they have given me progesterone too hoping that works for my baby too 🐣🐣
@Chloe did they go any follow up scans for you after regarding both pregnancy’s and yes very stressed I think I’m panicked at the word Misscarage such a scary word to hear when pregnant hoping and praying and congratulations on your little boy and hoping your labour goes smoothly they say the 2nd baby’s labour is ment to be smooth sailing 🥰🥰🥰
Each time I had the bleeding, I had monitoring/examination and a scan the next day. They said before 16 weeks to ring the early pregnancy unit if I had any worries. Nope second pregnancy and if anything I've had less appointments because it's my 2nd. Only had 3 scans and I'm 34 weeks 😊 It is a scary word to label it with! They said that it didn't make me high risk and it is called that just because of the symptoms. I think it was reassuring to know it didn't make me high risk. Everything else was completely normal in my pregnancy. I've spoke to a few people that had it and babies are all fine too! Thank you, sending you all the positive vibes 🥰
I had this at 5 weeks. They called it a threatened miscarriage. Now 10 weeks and all is well xx
@Chloe I was already high risk in the pregnancy and they found a 5ml pool of blood just outside the sac I have another scan on Wednesday when I’ll be 14 weeks hoping for the best cxx
I had multiple bleeds between 4 - 15 weeks of pregnancy and they couldn't find any cause. I was consultant led and had scans every 2 weeks for reassurance. I also had an emergency stitch at 16 weeks but my baby girl is healthy and doing well xx
Nobody said that term to me but I had really heavy bleeding the day after my 12 week scan and it continued for another 2 days after. I went in for another scan on the 3rd day (earliest they would give me) and they said all was fine and could have been irritation or burst blood vessels from the sonographer pressing hard at the original scan. Baby is now 12 weeks old. Got everything crossed for you 🤞🏻
I had a threaten miscarriage in two pregnancies, both I carried to term. I’m sorry you’re going through this it’s very scary x
@Charlotte this is the exact same thing that happened to me!🤍
I have no experience of this but wanted to send my love
