@Olivia okie dokie that sounds good then. Thank you. I got just the text around 15:30 and it closes at 6pm. Thank you so much. 🙏🏽 that’s a relief
If you sign up to PatientsKnowBest, you should be able to see the blood test results for yourself. Anything abnormal is usually highlighted in red colour coding.
You can also login through the nhs app. It is connected directly to your medical records, hospital and GP, all in one place. You can see blood results, medical record and request appointments.
I highly recommend signing up to patientknowbest as they have already recommended. You will see all your results there before even talking to your doctors
I got my blood test results on the NHS app / patients know best page. My iron, haemoglobin are low and white blood cells elevated. They haven't contacted me but I imagine they should contact me to recommend I take extra iron
I wouldn't worry too much as low iron is not urgent and can be resolved on Monday with a prescription. I would contact them instead of waiting to be contacted just in case though. Depends how elevated the WCC is but can be an indicator of infection. Depends exactly how elevated but if you feel well in yourself, and have no symptoms of a UTI, I would not worry and wait till Monday to discuss. They might suggest a urine dipstick if you haven't done one recently to rule out a UTI.
Thanks ladies xx I think it’s probably to do with iron as it’s something I always have issues with which isn’t serious. Thank you ladies for the reassurance. Xx
Hey girlies. I’m back. So I called gp and they said I must speak to the actual dr to talk about my blood test results. I asked if they couldn’t just tell me but he said no I need to discuss with the dr. 😩 Could this still be an iron issue
Yes definitely. Hopefully they scheduled you a telephone appointment to discuss?
@Daria they have for the 22nd x
Normally if there is anything urgent or massively abnormal or worrying they will call you and try a few times
