My little one will have just turned 3 when baby is born. She's getting a digital camera (basically to take pictures of the baby and hopefully she'll enjoy doing that then associate that fun with baby) and some stuff she can do independently while I'm feeding baby (stickers, colouring book etc). She's also getting the baby an outfit and a toy that she can play with them of her choice.
I've ordered a yoto music player for our almost 2 year old... she loves music and hopefully will learn how to work it independently with some help initially. Got a few of the may your own cards and have put on her favourite songs and stories ready. It is her 2nd birthday in July so we have got her a waterproof doll so she can bath her and take care of her etc. when the new one comes along.
