My boys the same 😂😅 it’s been a bit better since we took the newborn insert out. He likes having something to hold like a comforter. And he likes having something to look at like a mirror / something that moves (no we haven’t used screens as tempting as that would be) Sometimes I have resorted to playing white noise over the speaker. I also took him to chiropractor .. he struggles a bit with a tight back as he was breech all pregnancy. So maybe that helped a bit too.
My daughter was and still can be the exact same, she was screaming so excessively she would poo and leak every time she was in the car seat🫠 However, I have learnt with her dummy and a Muslin to touch/grab, plus a little spiral toy to look at she is a lot calmer!!🫶🏼
My boy is the same although calmed down now 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 We have white noise playing, window slightly open, loose clothing, dangly toys. He’s also in the front with me (airbag off) so he can see me and knows I’m there. When the car has stopped, I hold his hand and touch him. Good luck. There have been many journeys where I’ve pulled the car over and we’re both crying!
The only thing thats helped us is opening the window slightly 2 minutes she is sound asleep then we shut it 😊
Yep my little girl has since about 2 weeks old… it’s been horrific trying to get out and about (also have a 3 yo and live rurally so driving is necessary sometimes!). I’ve tried lots of different things and only maaaaybe lately am I seeing her not quite so upset and randomly I’ve had some success with Metallica playing (yes… needs must!). I can’t wait until she’s ok in the car. So stressful. My first born was the exact same 😵💫
Oh no, it must be so stressful! Mine is okay with the car when it's moving, she only cries if we stop. When it's just us I deactivate the passenger airbag and have her next to me, it helps.
My baby is like this when it’s hot, I put a little fan on the handle of the car seat and it’s worked wonders!
Can you try a mirror for your baby to be distracted at seeing himself,?
Does he have any toys to help distract him? I’ve got toys hanging all over the shop for my LG to look at. She hated to car too however her issue was motion sickness and the infant carrier being to flat it made her feel sick x
