We use the cat stuff animal from ikea, we have 5 that we rotate and wash and he gets one at a time. That way we can easily replace it if it breaks or gets lost or left behind. Plus they are very cheap to replace.
I know I'm going to get hate for this but my little one and I slept in the pregnancy pillow until she learnt to roll cause I knew I held her safely at night and any little movement she made I would wake up (she'd otherwise sleep completly still all night) and my partner would also be awake to watch because he's a night owl. I don't recommend you do it cause it isn't the safest, but you know yourself and your child and whether it would be safe or not for your situation
I use my purflo pregnancy pillow and have done for a while. It’s in a u shape from under her arms as opposed to near her face, she then remains in the centre of the bed but also flaps her leg over and cuddles it. It works for us but yeah, do what you feel is right for you and your child, it’s not recommended but I know how she sleeps and feel it’s safe in our situation x
A pregnancy pillow is pretty big and has some weight to it. Safe sleep says that a small, lightweight stuffed animal is okay after they’re a year old. But they should still be in their own crib without any bedding or pillows until at least 2 (according to the American Academy of Pediatrics). My daughter also loves to be cuddled so I got her a jelly cat stuffed animal and she loves it! She loves to nuzzle the tail with her nose lol.
