Need ideas

My husband said that if we can come up with $10000 by the time we close on a house he won't have to sell his dream car. There is $20000 left before it's paid off (2.5 years of payments). He's had this car since we started dating and I would hate for him to have to sell it. All I've heard these past 4 years is plans for the future with this car (taking it to car meets, son's first date, passing it on to our son, etc) We need 2 cars, so even if he does sell it, we'd still need to look into buying another car. Any suggestions on how to make that kind of money? If I sell all my things online I can make about $1000. I have $1000 in savings.

I'm on mat leave so I have very limited income at the moment

Honestly try posting your story on TikTok! I’ve seen quite a few people catch high views to be able to pay off cars or move into houses. Be authentic and post your story everyday until it catches views.

@Mersadies-Lynn I don't have tiktok. I wouldn't even know how to begin nor how to set up for donations etc.

How long do you have to close on the house? He can pick up a second job or overtime. How much did he pay for the car vs how much is it brand new? Can he buy one again in the future? During maternity leave there isn’t much you can do. And honestly I would rest! Take care of yourself and baby.

@Dolly His car is discontinued. We need 2 cars now as he works 12 hr shifts and I'm back and forth between ob appts, specialist ob appts, allergy appts, daycare. He has an interview for a second job at the end of the month. We're seeing a house on Wednesday and if we like it we'll put a bid in and the closing will be 60-90 days.

I have an e commerce arbitrage store. It profits at least 15% per month. It takes money to make money tho

Pretty much why this is happening was we were all set to move so my husband could get a better job and a $20000 bonus (enough to pay off the car). At my anatomy scan they found a mass on our baby's lung. They were monitoring it, but it didn't get any better. Right before we were going to sign everything for the move, the specialist said that our baby was going to need surgery after birth. Even with the signing bonus, we wouldn't be able to afford the surgery. Where we are now, her birth and surgery is only going to cost us $30. We are currently living in a 2 bedroom apartment. My MIL stays with us 9-10 months of the year. We need a bigger place.

Wait, so let me get this straight, you need to make $10,000 in 2-3 months?

I know it sucks but have you looked into loans?

@Noelle a loan will decrease our approval for a mortgage and move us out of the "ready to move in" range to the "this house needs to be teared down"

@Neena if we like the house Wednesday, yes. If not then we have a bit more time.
