I had one at 6 + 4 and we saw heartbeat and baby - so worth it. We went to window to the womb
I went last week, thought I was about 6.5 weeks - I only measured at 5w5d but we saw a little heartbeat, really set my mind at ease 🥰
We have one booked with 'Peek A Baby' on the 24th when I believe I'll be around 6 weeks as I'm very anxious! They also offer a free rescan though if it is too early to see much 😊
I’ve had two missed miscarriages identified at Window to the Womb at 7/8 weeks so for me they are well worth every penny. I had them every few weeks with my last pregnancy just as a reassurance, and I’m currently pregnant again and had one at 8 weeks, it’s just the reassurance it gives you I guess. But it’s all personal choice x
I booked a private for this Saturday but I got email from them saying best to wait till 7 weeks and they normal can’t detect a heartbeat. I will be 6 weeks and 4 days if I have the scan this Saturday. So don’t know if I should just wait an extra week. But I’m such an anxious worrier! X
Don’t know do that messaged made sense 😂 meant to say that they said before 6 weeks they can’t always get a heartbeat as it’s early
@Chloe I’m exactly the same, I’m such a worrier, I’ve got one booked for the 6th June where I’ll be 9 weeks. In my first pregnancy I went at 7 weeks and turns out I was only 5 and too early, so that caused me more anxiety so this time we’ve decided to wait a little longer, even though it’s killing me 😂
@Amelia would you suggest holding off? I’ve never had an early scan before with my other two pregnancy I just waited till the 12 weeks. X
@Chloe I would, as hard as it is! For mine I’ll be 9weeks according to the NHS, but from my ovulation I’ll only be 7 weeks, so any earlier than 7 I might not see much x
@Amelia it always confuses my with adding twos weeks haha. So if I’m 6 weeks tomorrow I’m really only 4 weeks tomorrow from when I ovulated. So chances are wouldn’t see much on the scan? X
@Chloe it confuses me so much too, I go off my ovulation day cause surly that’s more accurate? I never understand how you can be 2 weeks pregnant at the time of conception… x
@Amelia the adding the 2 weeks is to work out the gestation. Conception wise yes the embryo is say 2 weeks old at 4 weeks pregnant for example. I suppose technically you could say you’re 1&2 weeks pregnant every month because technically you’re not actually pregnant, your body is preparing for ovulation, and then the egg released in that cycle gets fertilised typically at week 2, depending when you ovulate. I think all scan places and the NHS always will calculate your due date based on gestation, the clear blue digitals tell you the fetal age based off the level of hcg in your urine, which is why you add 2 weeks to roughly work out what gestation you are ☺️ So I suppose the fetal age at your scan will be 7 weeks from conception, but you will be 9 weeks pregnant if this makes sense? I would get used to using the nhs due date because that’s what they’ll refer to throughout your pregnancy xxxxx
I booked my early scan for 26 May, I would be 6w + 3d (from my first day of last period). Any advice if this is too early?
@Joanne window to the womb told me if I wanted to see heartbeat, it would probably best to wait to at least 7 weeks. I still don’t know if I should move it or not my anxiety is getting the better of me! X

@Joanne with my last pregnancy i saw a heartbeat at 6+4. You should be fine x

I did with my daughter and was 100% worth it. I am 5 weeks today and have one booked for 30th May x
@Joanne I’ve book it for the following Saturday now so will be 7 weeks and 3 days I hope!! So also will see more! X
I waited until 8 weeks because I looked at scan photos from 6 and 7 and they weren’t great and didn’t show much. At 8 weeks you can see their limbs developing as well as a strong heartbeat so I felt more reassured. If I’d gone at 6 and not seen a strong heartbeat yet I know I’d have wanted to go back again at 8 anyway!
