My ebf 4 mo baby poops multiple times per day and it's a yellowish color. No supplements or medications.
take him to a chiropractor that works on infants. your best option , many people say it works wonders
@Andrea I was just coming here to comment this!! we’ve been taking our little boy since he was about 8 weeks, we still go about twice a week but it definitely helped with his constipation, sleeping, & reflux!! also he doesn’t cry as much. He wouldn’t poop for about 4-5 days at first and now since going to the chiropractor it seems to be an all day thing. But he’s happy! 🤷🏻♀️😂
My son is fed expressed breast milk mostly and one formula just for the night! He either has 3/4 small poops in a day or one big poop in a day! But poops daily and is yellowish!
My little guy is also EBF and poops daily, amount varying.
Sounds sooo familiar. Does your baby get more fussy the longer he goes without pooping? Our girl started out going once a week until about 2 months, now uncle every 2-4 days. She grunts ave cries and scrunches trying to get it out but isn’t successful. She has also been on reflux medications for several months. When she does go, it is also soft- liquidy she brown so it doesn’t seem like constipation? We have seen a Pediatric GI specialist who is trying to help because she is also extremely gassy and it all causes her so much pain. Probiotics seem to help a little, but not much. We had several scans and tests done and thankfully everything looks normal, but we’re not sure what to try next. For EBF babies, it can be normal to not go everyday, but if it’s bothering them, that’s where it’s a problem!
My baby isn't taking famotidine but she is fed expressed breast milk that is fortified with formula - like 1/2 teaspoon per 3 oz, so not a lot. She started out as a multiple times a day pooper but about 1.5-2 months ago started pooping like once a week. Her pediatrician said it's normal for breastfed babies to go up to a week or more and would only be concerned if the poops are hard and dry and baby is struggling to pass the poop.
