Also, my first born was actually classed as a ‘small’ baby from 32 weeks onwards, and we had multiple growth scans from 32 weeks to 39 weeks. I delivered at bang on 39 weeks and she weighed 6lb 9oz, so not even particularly small. Growth scans also can be slightly out too, you just have to take the measurements with a pinch of salt!
I had EXACTLY the same thing. Measured 25cm at my 28 week appt. Baby was transverse at the time so not taking up as much room down my tummy. Went for my growth scan and baby was actually measuring at 29 weeks so all was fine. She's now head down and measuring on target. X
I had the same, bump at 3rd percentile at 28 weeks, growth scan showed baby was at 50th percentile. Bump at 31 week appt was also small but this time above 10th percentile (just)...some ppl just have a small bump! Fingers crossed you're the same ❣️
I had the same, i actually had a bump measurement be too small showing as under 3rd percentile and then a measurement of my baby show as too big on a scan. My baby came out healthy and on the 75th percentile so both measurements were wrong in the end!
Hun, try not to worry. This happens sooooo often!! Measuring a bump doesn’t give an actual baby measurement - it can’t tell you the size of baby/length of limbs etc. It could just be that baby is low or tucked up. As a bit of a reference, when I was pregnant with my second, I had a growth scan at 28 weeks as my bump was measuring small. Baby was perfect, 50th centile. I then had another measurement at 32 weeks and needed a growth scan as my bump was ‘big’ 🤦🏼♀️ again, baby was perfect, 50th centile. The midwife is being truthful when she says it’s hard to get an accurate measurement of baby’s size that way. Just await your growth scan, and take it as an opportunity to see baby again. 🫶🏻
