Double pram for new born and toddler

Some advice and recommendations would be really helpful and appreciated. I'm looking at the bugaboo donkey but so many people are starting to put me off as saying it's too big and bulky and heavy ect. I'm really stuck. I am also looking at the ickle bubba venus but my only thinking is that I'm going to be stuck with a double that you can't change to a single if needed too. Ahhhh help me ladies. Thankyou ♥️

I’m going for the donkey! People said that to me but tbh I like bulky! I’ll use it untill my oldest won’t go in a pram then will go down one! Other ones put me off with having a newborn in a normal seat or a cocoon! And I love that with a bugaboo I can go from single to double x

My two are 14 months apart (now 2 & 3) we had the bugaboo to start with, wasn’t a fan as my oldest always looked way too squished in it, I didn’t like that it didn’t all fold down into one & although it was easy to turn it to a single when I just had the one child I never used it, much prefer our ickle bubba double, wish we had gotten it from the start :)

@Kayshia yes that is the biggest selling point for me that it can go down to a single if you need it. Ah it's so difficult because they are so much money aswell. X

@Lucy yes this is definitely the problem I have a lot of people do say the ickle bubba is a good double pram. But I'm thinking when my toddler don't want to get in the pram I'm stuck walking around with a double 😐 x

@Emily also for me, I don’t like tandem ones, I like baby to see everything aswell! I’m going to try get a second hand or refurbished one! X

I ordered the iCandy Peach 7 because it can go from double to single so once my son no longer needs the pram i won’t be walking around with a double 😅

@Kayshia yeah absolutely i have been looking at second-hand or refurbished one too. But some people are asking for crazy money still and the pram is not great. So frustrating

@Emily yeah it is very annoying! Just keep offering less worth the chance!! I already have two prams for my little girl and I defo not doing it all again!! I love the fact the oldest can see the baby aswell when side by side x

@Kayshia 100% I have real mum guilt if I have one at the bottom and one at the top in the tandem, it definitely isn't for me. X

@Maeve I will have a look thankyou x

@Maeve also your name is on my girl list. I love it 😀 😍 ❤️

I have the bugaboo donkey and I love it!! The feel of it was way nicer compared to the Ickle Bubba that just felt way too heavy

we have a cosatto wow xl but honestly we've hardly used it since our 2nd was born. my eldest was 2 when baby sister was born and since then she has not wanted to go in the pram at all really, she walks everywhere. plus the baby is always in a carrier! it is a great pram, there's a buggy board built in too, and so many different ways you can set the seats up and can use as a single. just kinda wish we wouldve waited till baby was born to see if we'd actually get much use out of it x

@keisha i am thinking of waiting until closer to the time for that reason x

@Leodina out of interest which ickle bubba did you have? The venus?

I had the Icklebubba double stroller. For age comparison. Little boy was newborn, and little girl was 15 months old. They still have it now at 1 & 2(nearly 3)

@Emily I tested both the Venus and the donkey on the same day.. the bugaboo for me just felt lighter and more compact as well as easier to manoeuvre. I really like that I can turn it from a double to a single as well.. Definitely go out and do some test runs at different stores and see what works for you 🙂
