@Gemma I have an appointment for this Friday thankfully! I haven’t had any bleeding so far but have been told to keep a close eye for any bleeding since he is so far down. Do they usually give you a date on the first appointment with the consultant?x
So I was kind of different because I had a consultant appointment at 35+1 and they were reluctant to send me home but I had a 15 month at home so they said go home basically on bed rest but they’d see me the next week and go in if there was any sign of bleeding. I started bleeding that night so I was admitted and kept in until they delivered my son at 36 weeks. I would imagine they’ll either give you the date at that appointment or they’ll give you the week they want to deliver and then send the appointment separately once the consultant looks at the diary properly. I would get as ready as possible now though just to be safe. I literally hadn’t packed so relied on my husband to do my hospital bag and it was a shambles bless him. Brought me in high waisted jeans, thongs, T-shirts that were tight pre pregnancy 🙃😂 X
I had to have my section dead on at 36 weeks for placenta previa but I had started bleeding at 35+1. I guess it depends on how things are looking but I doubt they’ll let you go to 39 weeks. Have they given you any idea when you’ll be able to see the consultant? X
