Gestational Diabetes but Low Risk?

Hadn’t been tested for Gestational Diabetes as was low risk (ie low BMI, no family history etc), however at my latest midwife appointment, I pushed for a growth scan as had a gut feeling… Wasn’t measuring particularly big and was actually worried baby was underweight. She sent me for a 33 week growth scan and babi...

GTT Test

Just had a GTT test and i’m currently in the waiting room, waiting until 10:50am before they take my bloods. Anyway, whilst waiting I’ve become really tired, and I also noticed my mouth and lips becoming ridiculously dry so I keep drinking my water. I thought I’d look up the symptoms of GD and this is what came up o...

Morning fasting reading too high - should I skip the supper on the night before

Hey there . New to the GD game. My first readings in the morning have been over the limit. Mainly ranging 5.1-5.3. My other readings during the day are quite good. Just wondering if I should perhaps drop the supper snack ? that I was told to have after doing the reading after tea at night. I’ve been having cheese or...

Pressure

38 weeks Ive been out to the shops today. And I've struggled! Was ok at first but then got this pressure, like really pushing down. Came home, went for a pee, made dinner and sat down. Usually the pain eases off. This time it's still there. It feels like the baby is pushing her head down, off-on-off-on. (Hard to ...

Urine tests

I’ve been told that if ‘sugar’ is found in my urine test tomorrow than I would have to go for a gestational diabetes test. I had a test with my previous pregnancy and all was fine. Has anyone found the best way to avoid picking up the sugar in urine? Avoiding sugar for so long beforehand etc..

Pregnant Again

I’m pregnant again… I had a baby ten months ago and part of me is excited and the other part of me is terrified. I don’t know how to feel or what to think. I just know I want to be a good mom. And I hope I already am. Idk. This is just kind of a rant since I have no one else to really talk to about it. Anybody have ...
