Hey, I have a ninja kettle which I descale regularly. You can boil it to certain temps such as 70,80,90 and 100. Is it safe to boil the kettle to 90 degrees and make a bottle up with this, rather than 100 degrees? I’ve read that anything above 70 degrees kills bacteria.

Just curious what teat size is everyone’s babies on atm? My LO is on medium but he stops in the middle of the feed sometimes or falls asleep. He used to finish his bottle. I’m thinking maybe to introduce him with fast flowing teat but not sure it it’s too early.

so I had my beautiful little boy on Tuesday, only 7lbs 5oz, and I feel like he is always hungry, he’s currently taking already about 80-90ml per feed and is sometimes still looking for more after he’s finished, this seems like a lot of milk for such a tiny baby who isn’t even a week old?

I don’t understand why bottles can’t just be sterilised in boiling water anymore? I’ve been using the Milton cold water but I don’t like the smell it leaves and the residue drops in the bottles. Is there a more natural way we can sterilise bottles?

Does anyone use these and have any feedback? Looking at the tommee tippee one which sounds great, but have also seen that the NHS doesn’t endorse UV sterilisers… What are you ladies doing for sterilising?

My almost 7m old is still taking 5 full milk feeds a day of 210ml, takes a little bit of food when offered at meal times but not loads. HV has told me to reduce milk intake so he will eat more?
