Always hungry?

so I had my beautiful little boy on Tuesday, only 7lbs 5oz, and I feel like he is always hungry, he’s currently taking already about 80-90ml per feed and is sometimes still looking for more after he’s finished, this seems like a lot of milk for such a tiny baby who isn’t even a week old?

Bottle or breast? No judgement

My boy is 10 days old today, and we are going through the same thing. As per midwife, you can't overfeed newborn babies so just need to go with their flow. It will get better (they say) 🙈😅

@Terri bottle feeding with formula x

We switched our son to hungry baby after 1 tub of normal formula, it’s what our daughter had too and both are happy and healthy and neither overate just stopped when they were full

@Megan aww ok!!

I had my son this week and I swear this is the same. He's maybe eating less but feeding every 2ish hours. Feeding with formula. I also have a daughter who is 2.5. One of the things I learned, which I can't remember where or how, is that babies can't over eat. They don't learn to overeat until around age 5. If they over eat then the stomach makes them be sick. Its not just a little bit of milk either, its whatever the stomach can't fit in. If he's eating therefore and its not coming back to he's obvious just a foodie! Hope that helps! X

We’re the same. Baby boy was born oo Monday early hours and at 5/6days old he’s having 80/90ml every 2hours starting to push to 3hours at times. Midwife was fine and he’s just coming back to his birth weight of 8lb4oz. I’m just going to continue with what we’re doing. He seems happy so we’re happy. He also has mainly formula with the odd 1 bottle of breast milk x

Sounds like my daughter. LOL The hospital staff insisted that she wanted to eat too often, but that’s just how she was. Breast or bottle, she wanted to eat every 30-40 minutes. 🤷‍♀️ As long as there are no issues, I’d continue as is.
