Is this a growth spurt?

My baby is 2 weeks old today. Every day thus far, she has been an incredibly chilled out baby. Will wake for feeds and nappy changes but then loves nothing more than cuddles and long sleeps. Today, however, nothing will settle her. She’s constantly crying and wriggling around and feeding lots.. then crying again. I...

Honestly losing my patience, what am I doing wrong 😩

LO has 20-30 min naps and always has done. That’s fine I’ve accepted it. I thought I will try and transition her from 4 naps to 3 to see if she’d sleep any longer. Nope she didn’t, she slept the same amount and she ended up being super moody, over tired and fussy + crying because wake windows were 3+ hours whereas...

Naps

Is anyone else’s baby fighting sleep 😅 it’s actually a sport to get him to go to sleep. If the bottle or dummy makes him sleepy he will refuse it 🙃 has anybody got anything that helps? He will fall asleep on a walk but will only sleep for max 30 mins unless he’s on someone - my first was like this and I just went…

Child being hurt at nursery by another child

My little boy has been hurt on three occasions now by the same child. Scratched, pinched and bitten. Each time drawing blood and causing bruising. The boy doing it has 'additional needs, no verbalisation'. The child has done this to multiple other children too. I can’t help but feel like he should be in another nu...

Weaning off night feeds

My 10 month old still wakes up at least twice for a night feed (usually 10pm and 3pm). I have tried reducing the amounts but he screams and screams for more… I wouldn’t have any idea how to get him back off to sleep without a bottle 😭 any tips? I am worried now I’ve read he should really stop bottles at 12 months…

My 2 Year Old Watches a Movie on the iPad to Fall Asleep To

We put the ipad on a little stool about half a meter away from her cot bed. She watches one movie on the lowest brightness and volume 1, and she very rarely makes it to the end of the movie before she’s fallen asleep. I still feel all manners of guilt that I’m being totally lazy and just sticking her in front of a s...

Starting my exclusive pumping journey — how do I manage schedule?

My LO wakes up and feeds every 2.5 - 3 hours, usually takes 1 - 1.5 hours to bottle feed, diaper change and rock her back to sleep. Then I pump for an hour after that, leaving me 1 hour to clean up and nap. Before I know it she’s up again. Is there a better way to do this? I feel like I don’t have enough time to br...

Kennel cough vaccine

I’ve been advised by the vets that my dog can’t have his kennel cough vaccine yet as we have a 4 week old baby at home. They can’t advise when he can have it as they can’t make that call apparently. Has anyone else been through this? How old was your baby when your dog had the vaccine?

Breastfeeding

How often is everyone breastfeeding their 19 month olds? I aim for before naptime and before bedtime and 2/3 times during the night. He sometimes wants some milk when he’s agitated during the day but that’s only sometimes. He’s eating his meals and snacks. Should I be starting to cut the feeds down now?
