Best way to cut the pacifier?

We’d almost done it around 16 months but then a trip to the hospital set us back. Now my daughter is able to say the word and it’s starting to become a sleep crutch - she can’t sleep without one in her hand and one in her mouth. What strategies have you used to get rid of the pacifier that worked? Right now she on...

Transitioning to two naps?

How's everyone dealing with it? My boys started the last few days. His morning nap is longer, his wake window after if longer and then his last nap finishes too early for him to last until 7pm bedtime so he's just super naggy from 5:30pm. Last night I put him to bed at 6:30pm but any other tips please?

Breastfeeding and bottle sizes

I'm breastfeeding but we give my little one a bottle of pumped boob milk each day so I can nap and my partner feeds him. I haven't changed the bottle teat size though. I assumed as my nipple is the same size, the teat should also stay the same? Are you meant to change the size and flow of the teat?? Thanks!

What prams are our babies in now?

Could anyone share what pram they’re using? And are our babies sat up now or still laying flat? Can they be sat up if they fall asleep, or is this still dangerous? I’m still scared of sitting him up incase he falls asleep and I also don’t want him facing the world yet 😭 is this reasonable

Milk at night

My 2.5 toddler keeps waking up at night and my husband continues to give her milk when she cries and asks for it. Then my husband wonders why does our daughter keep waking up at night and asking for milk and I said bc you keep giving it to her. He believes that she still needs the milk. She doesn’t. Her height and w...

Tonsillitis

Not been feeling well last couple of days and realised it’s tonsillitis this morning. My little one is 3 weeks old and I’m exclusively breastfeeding. Has anyone else had it, and have you been prescribed antibiotics?? Keen to kick it ASAP as it’s making the nights 10 times worse than they already are - I’m exhausted...

MAM teat 3

My little boy is 14 weeks now, we have moved from teat 0,1 and 2 very easily. We’ve been battling with teat 3 and X for about 3/4 weeks now and not really getting anywhere. They are both too fast for him yet a 2 is far too slow! Any advice? We’ve done paced feeding which doesn’t make much difference. I have read tha...

Night waking for a snack?

The last 4 nights my daughter has been waking around 12:30-1am saying she’s hungry? Even though she’s eating normally and plenty during the day, I offered her a bedtime snack the last few nights but she declined as she’s still full from dinner. Is this a growing phase? Usually she sleeps 12/13/14 hours straight th...

My LO is now 4 months for the last three days has been crying for a long time before each nap. It seems to start when he gets tired. I am watching his sleep queues and wake windows and we have tried everything from walking around, changing him, singing, another bottle etc. But he seems to only stop for a moment when...

Dog neutering question

My boy is getting neutered in February, had to postpone it due to moving house, moving vets and then the day he was meant to be going in originally I went into labour! Just wondering how long it took other people’s male dogs to be back to themselves after having the operation?

Has anyone started using a hairdryer on their baby yet?

I’m not sure whether to or not, he’s got quite long hair and we bath him every night. I usually dry it with a towel but it’s not very effective and he goes to bed with slightly damp ish hair. He doesn’t seem bothered by it but I think drying it would be better. I also want him to get used to a hair dryer. Is it way ...

Suggestions on how to get baby to stop waking up so much!

He's always been a lighter sleeper, but for months now he wakes up every 2-3 hours for the entire night (7pm-7am). Sometimes he's hungry, and sometimes he just wakes up screaming and I need to go in and comfort him back to sleep. When he does that he won't soothe himself back to sleep, I have to go in there or he wi...
