EBF Shorter feeds
Hi all,
Since having his 8 week vaccines on Thursday, my little boy spends less time on the boob for a feed and I wondered if anyone else has experienced the same thing?
He used to be on for a good 10 mins then want the other boob, now I'm lucky to get him to have 5-6 mins on one...he doesn't seem dehydration as is still having plenty of wet and dirty nappies.
Just wondered if I should be concerned.

Agree with the above. He might have just established feeding as they do as they get older, and it happens to be around the same time as his jabs. As you say, he’s doing plenty of wet/dirty nappies so he seems ok. Does he seem happy in himself? If so, I’d put it down to he’s just mastered feeding now! If you’re worried maybe check with a doc, but seems all ok to me! x
They become more efficient as they get older in removing milk. I wouldn't worry about it. If everything is alright. Feeding patterns will change. Best advice i can give you tho is stop watching the clock 😊 just feed when and however long baby needs
Thanks all, he's gone for longer feeds again today too. Just over thought it I suppose x

I wouldn’t be concerned babies feeding patterns change a lot as they get older. They become better at feeding so don’t need to be on as long sometimes
