Is this safe for pregnancy I don’t have an Obgyn yet

If I were to hand my notice in before my 9 months of maternity leave was up (paid) would I still be entitled to the last bit of maternity pay? Context I have 9 months paid maternity and 3 months unpaid.

When I was on maternity leave the first month where it’s 90% I got just over a grand but someone I work with (we do the exact same job) is getting £1500 for the first month.
